Home Remedies has simple, useful and effective remedies. Ingredients for these remedies are often available in one’s own kitchen. Desi names for herbs used are given in the glossary. Meher Dossal came to Pakistan at the partition of the subcontinent. She joined National Guards in 1948 and trained in the use of rifles and learnt nursing. She migrated to Canada in 1999 and lives there with her son and his family.Coming from a family with interest in home remedies, she and her family seldom had to visit doctors for minor illnesses. She compiled this book on the insistence of family and friends. Home Remedies was originally published by the author herself and was very popular both here and abroad.
